REGISTRATION

For the 2008 season we had 404 registered players! The numbers have been going up for the last three years.

After our initial mail out of the 2008 Newsletter and registration form to each player registered the previous year, local advertising was done. We have put more effort in advertising over the last two years after a successful trial run was done in 2006. Each elementary school student takes home a bright sheet of paper with information regarding the different registration days and locations. These were distributed to the schools in Vernon, Lavington & Armstrong, including the Christian school and Bearisto. Advertising was also done in the Morning Star and Recreation Guide.

Sun Valley Source for Sports was fantastic again this year, providing information and taking in forms and fees!! They really help make this position easier.

Registering on our website was a great addition for parents this year. I expect the numbers using the website will increase over the next few years.Within the next couple of weeks the Income Tax Receipts will be sent out to those of you that have not received them yet.

I will be stepping down as the Registrar. Getting to know the executive and the work involved for baseball the last couple of years has been a great experience. I truly appreciate all the time and effort of each director!!
